Rain: the power of becoming visible. Air that becomes visible is rain; light that becomes visible is light that bends down, or bows, to the earth — it rains. A rainbow is a visible form of the power of rain that falls to earth. The term is manifest in sunlight itself, in the term “the sun rains.” One lifts one’s face and is bathed in it, no less so than when one lift’s one’s face to water-rain.
Both the light and the air are raining here.
