Bare: the state of being completely open and visible, hiding nothing and holding nothing back, which can be induced (one bares something) or can be a point of existence (an arm, for example, is bare.) A thing that is bare is complete in itself. It is different from a pure thing, in that even its approachability or visibility is not masked in any way. It is a state of both vulnerability and strength, depending upon whether a person engaged with it decides to leave it bare or to cover it.
