Strewn

Strewn: the accumulation of captured air through the process of random scattering; straw is the material form of this energy. The air captured can contribute to loft (or lift) in a straw mattress, or to extension across a space of air, as in feed strewn to chickens. In all cases, the act of strewing builds order; a thing strewn is not a random thing.
