Sword

Sword: the double-bladed, cutting leaves of marsh plants, most particularly sedges and rushes, which transform fluid motion into a stiffer fluidity and provide the model for cutting blades and are, in turn, cut to form mats, roofs and walls. They also cut through the light by carrying the wind and giving it form and tension. How like a swordsman that is!
