Land: A form of energy manifested at the point at which the relationship between the heaviness of water and the lightness of a boat (or a bird … or a length of driftwood … or a swimmer … ) is exchanged, through the energy of a shore, into the heaviness of the water, the heaviness of a boat (should there be one) and the lightness of the the water’s ground, floor or bottom, which rises up and is called “land”. The act of transferal is called a “landing”, as is the point at which the transferal takes place.
