Weather removes energy from the objects it strikes. This process is specific form of weather called withering. It is the very real physical consequence of being struck by the lift called air and wind, both weightless, as well as the lightness of light continuously over time. The effects are slight but add up until the weight and durability of objects are almost completely taken away. Then they are said to have withered and become pure forms of withering energy: solid atmospheres; ghosts. So is it, to walk between the worlds.
