Centre: a sharp point, observed from the sharp point of a compass that, turned with the fingers, can draw a line at a continuous distance from it, or a circle. Neither comes before the other, neither the point nor the surrounding line. They are, in effect, different manifestations of the same active force, bound by the tension of their creation. In effect, the mind, or hand, that draws them remains bound within them and projected by them. In all, these are active forces of the naturally-occurring force called an eye (an eye, an I, a yolk or an island), which are formed by awareness and presence. When the hand reaches into that realm of the eye, it centres, and there we are.
