Sheep:  a baa-ing lamb’s potential energy for being shorn, translated from the shearing action of a sheep’s teeth and hooves into the shedding of its fur, which can be sped up by shearing. Sheep are all potential, passively embodied, until they become mutton, at which point their potential is frozen in the past.
