Snare

Snare: A line of will stretched out in the path of animals, to transfer their forward movement into a slow, mazelike movement or to stop it altogether. First, prey enters the paths of the mind. Then it enters the snare of the body.

That web needs a bit of repair.

For this reason, snares were the stuff of Icelandic magic. In the intricate spells of this tradition, called staves, lines of will are always crossed, directing spiritual energy into specific channels while denying others.
