Carry

Carry: to present in such a way as to bring events to a conclusion; to offer, proffer, sacrifice, and present; it is the way of combining vulnerability with surety and of committing to a path. As the sacrificial rock bowl at Buffalo Eddy on the Snake River shows below, it does not have to be done with words. In fact, words are superficial here. It is the commitment that is the act. In the act of carrying, one offers oneself up as the sacrifice; death is deflected by the sacred nature of the act.
