Egg

Egg: the eye of the world, the point of life in the eye-nest, the ovary, the nestling herself. Here is the eye of the drupe rose, sister of the apricot, the peach and the almond, the plum. This is the nest, with the eye inside, ripening into a nut, the wooden world hibernating inside a ripening atmosphere of sugar and juice, bringing mobile animals close, and keeping them close. plum
