Foul

Foul: The sound (Pu! or Phu!) of air vomiting from the lungs when a person views open rot and death in a living environment. It is an attempt to cease breathing (as breathing brings the world into the self), as well as to eject all previous breath from the lungs. It is the sound of a human cutting itself off from the earth. The next response is flight, to a spot that can be breathed. In Chinook Jargon, this word morphed into Pee-yew!

This doesn’t look good. Pu!
